Role Summary
Directs the company’s approach for satellite capacity for usage with all Anuvu verticals including maritime and aviation. Researches solutions with satellite operators, customer historical data and the results from Anuvu’s Analysts and Engineers. Leads the technical relationship with the satellite Operators, and serves as a holistic technical point of contact between our vendors and Sales, Finance and Legal. Directs the activities of Engineers and Technicians for the provision of service. Reports financial details for forecasts and actuals and theoreticals to various internal consumers of this information.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leads the team responsible for planning aviation and maritime satellite capacity requirements, using detailed actuals and forecasted consumption data
- Defines, co-develops, implements and ensures adherence of the workflows and processes used for definition, identification and procurement of capacity including satellite and ground
- Sets the strategy for refining the systems and telemetry that will help us achieve the most efficient use of Anuvu's most expensive non-human-resource
- Co-develops the strategic approach for selecting orbits, bands and satellites, based on customer demand, economics, available-infrastructure and total cost
- Establishes and builds rapport with Operations and Engineering teams and customer facing teams
- Assists Director, Satellite Capacity in aspects of Vendor Management, Revenue Assurance, Procurement
- Provides plans to teams upstream (to customer) and downstream (to Operations) for all dependencies on satellite capacity, including but not limited to backhaul, teleport and baseband requirements
- Leads the team's responsible for solutions development
- Participates in troubleshooting and coordinates the efforts of their team for support of day to day operations as needed
- Evaluates and contributes to vetting of novel technologies in satellite capacity (e.g. LEO, MicroGEO) and baseband (e.g. Modernization)
- Supports Director, Satellite Capacity in efforts regarding of Budget and Forecast
- Provides a supportive, professional and envigorating environment for their team members and co-workers
- Performs human resources related management tasks as directed or better
- Performs budgeting of cost and human resources as directed or better
What We are Looking For
Over 10 years of experience in:
- Satellite capacity planning.
- Capacity planning and analysis.
- Itinerary analysis.
- Mobile satellite terminal background.
- Link budget creation and analysis.
- Satellite antenna and related hardware exposure.
Education or equivalent experience preferred:
- Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Computer Science.
- Network Management.
- Radio Engineering.
