Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented truck dispatcher to dispatch our drivers to customer locations. In this role, your duties will include communicating with our customers to record their requirements, planning, and adjusting routes, as well as scheduling drivers to deliver or collect freight, shipments, and packages.

To ensure success as a truck dispatcher, you should exhibit extensive experience in dispatching trucks and the ability to work under pressure. Ultimately, an outstanding truck dispatcher is someone whose organizational skills translate into exceptional freight delivery services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ability to Monitors movements of ocean containers independently, to ensure daily delivery schedule are completed.
  • Ensure drivers follow DOT regulations and established internal company policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee and ensure proper records on dispatches for operations and billing purposes.
  • Act as a communication liaison between drivers and customers, as well as answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road.
  • Prepare documentation, monitor tractors and drivers to avoid aging and demurrage of third-party equipment and facilitate the return of equipment to various ports.
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Samsara, Netsuite)
  • Manage daily operations for the equipment and ensure all repair/maintenance is performed timely and as needed.
  • Monitor and oversees vehicle fleet maintenance and approved vendors for onsite maintenance of equipment.
  • Schedule container, chassis, and appointments with port websites/terminal systems.
  • Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments and prioritize time sensitive cargo
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of container drayage dispatch experience.
  • Must have knowledge of Transportation Federal and state safety regulations.
  • Team player with the ability to work within different levels of personnel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Schedule:
Monday-Saturday
10:00pm – 7:00am

Benefits:
PTO, 24hrs Paid Sick Leave, Health/Dental/Vision available after successfully completing the 90 days/3-month probationary period.
401(k) available after one year of employment.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
