Job description
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters or tables.
- Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
- Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
- Process Retail Management Systems (RMS) sales transaction to invoice customer.
- Accept payment and makes change.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
- Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
- Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift.
- Keep record of sales and prepare inventory of stock.
- Maintain mobile unit inventory levels in accordance with policy.
- Assure proper maintenance of the mobile including: proper registration, preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
In addition to the requirements listed below, the following are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months experience working in retail store environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds (50 lbs.).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to operate a Point Of Sale Cash Register.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals; ability to compute percent.
