SUMMARY
Drives morning/afternoon route for PPEC Programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE*
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and one to three months related experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS*
- Valid Florida Driver's License (CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement)
- LogistiCare /Access2Care
- First Aid and CPR
- LogistiCare Certification
- 40hr Defensive Driving Course

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
- Transports children in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safely secure children in wheelchairs during loading/unloading process.
- Keeps interior of bus neat, clean and free of debris.
- Reports interior repairs (seat belts, car seats, etc.) to North Area Transportation Supervisor.
- Attends to children as needed in emergency situations.
- Follows emergency procedures.
- Uses cellular phone for parental/emergency procedures only.
- Assist with loading and unloading of the children. Does not pick up or deliver children to the door.
- If child becomes ill (seizures, vomits) driver will pull to side of road. If incident requires medical attention call 911 on cellular phone. Once situation is under control notify the Nursing Home Administrator or the Director of Nursing.
- In the event the vehicle becomes disabled call Transportation Manager or Nursing Home Administrator on cellular phone for instructions.
- In the event of an accident call 911 and notify the Nursing Home Administrator for instructions.
- Maintains communication with Nursing Home Administrator when a change in route time occurs such as Early Release days.
- Nonscheduled pick-ups and/or deliveries must be approved by Director of Nursing.
- Complete log sheet daily and turn into Nursing Home Administrator weekly.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nursing Home Administrator.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
