General Summary: The Van Driver works under the direct supervision of the Site Manager. The driver delivers meals to homebound clients, loads meals from the kitchen into van and transports clients to various destinations as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Transport clients to various destinations as assigned.

2. Assist clients on and off the van.

3. Maintain record of pre-trip inspections.

4. Deliver meals accurately as routed and adhering to program rules and regulations.

5. Ensure temperatures are maintained during the delivery of the meals.

6. Maintain the vehicle in which they are driving, keeping it clean and free of debris.

7. Load meals from the kitchen into the van.

8. Provide light cleaning duties.

9. Notify the Site Manager of any issue with the vehicle.

10. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Valid Arkansas Driver License.

A good driving record, verified annually.

Ability to maintain accurate records.

Acceptable criminal history background checks.

A good driving record.

Successfully complete defensive driver training.

Successfully complete passenger assistance training.

Demonstrated ability to positively work with clients, fellow employees, and other people dealing with the Senior Center Program.

Education and Experience:

Ability to read and write legibly in English at the 10th grade level.
