Damascus Bakeries Inc. has an opening for an experienced Truck Driver. Qualified candidates should have experience with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing/production environment. Candidates will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, ordering parts and completing all necessary paperwork.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Do pre and post trip truck inspections and report any and all vehicle maintenance issues.

2. Maintain a daily hours of service log.

3. Ensure proper documentation is available in the vehicle prior to operation.

4. Ensure vehicle is equipped with e-z pass and with fuel when in use.

5. Ensure safe, timely and quality delivery of company products to prescribed destinations.

6. Return all company equipment to the plant as required.

7. Load and unload trucks as required.

8. Check and count all loads for accuracy of billing and sign the necessary documents.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Ensure trucks are kept clean and in a food safe condition.

• Report to work on time and prepared for motor vehicle operation.

• Assist in special projects when use of the Forklift is essential.

• Maintain an excellent record of safe driving and always abide by the rules of the road.

• All other duties assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS: -Valid Drivers License: (minimum CDL class B) with air brakes certification.

• Forklift Operation / Certification.

• Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 80 pounds.
