About the Role: We are looking for sUAS (Drone) Flight Operations Support staff to support flight operations in planned future operating locations within the continental US. The GS will perform aircraft pre-flight and servicing of small uncrewed aircraft and their associated takeoff and landing facilities. You will operate closely with other flight operations team members and maintenance personnel. A good fit for this role would be a person who has 2-3 years experience in a safety critical role in an industry such as field technical support, energy, transportation, or aviation, etc and is looking for an early career opportunity in the emerging commercial drone industry.

What You’ll Do Day-to-day encompasses a variety of activities including but not limited to:

• Perform daily sUA (drone) operating site set-up at multiple locations
• Conduct preflight inspections of sUA (drones) and flight facilities
• Functioning as an airspace visual observer and reporting flight safety hazards.
• Report sUA and facility issues to maintenance staff
• Recover sUA from landing sites
• Transport sUA between storage/support facilities and flight operations sites
• Drive a company-provided vehicle as needed to perform other duties

What You'll Need:

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate (https://www.faa.gov/uas/commercial_operators/become_a_drone_pilot/)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
• Ability to perform physically, lift 35 lbs, and perform continuous tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods
• Willingness to operate a light commercial vehicle for extended periods to transport aircraft
• Ability to work independently and in teams while still maintaining rigorous attention to detail
• This position is subject to Drug and Alcohol testing policy in accordance with Company operating procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
