We are searching for a nurturing Early Learning teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met. As a toddler/preschool teacher, you will be required to prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. A preschool teacher should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. Prefer a person with experience in a early learning center and child care.

Center Teacher Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Developing lesson plans that are based around play-based education
Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
Tending to students' basic needs such as potty training
Encouraging the exploration of interests and developmental social skills
Developing schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime
Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation

Requirements:
18 years or older
ECE credentials preferred.
Ability to pass a portal background check through DCYF.
Ability to lift 30 lbs
Current Infant/Child CPR/1st Aid Card (obtain within first month of employment)
HIV/Aids Awareness class (obtain within first month of employment)
Negative TB Test (before starting employment)
Stars Basic Training (obtain within first 2 months of employment)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
