Edgartown Water Department Junior Operator/ Operator I
The Town of Edgartown seeks a reliable and capable individual for employment in the Water
Department. Preference will be given to an individual possessing a Dl and Tl Drinking Water License within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This is a full time, year-round position with a generous benefit package in an exciting, rewarding and stable field. Both positions are mentally and physically challenging, requiring manual labor, mechanical ability and technical aptitude in the operation of the water system. Both positions are subject to weekend, holiday and evening emergency response, as well as overtime and on-call coverage on a rotational basis. The selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License, possess a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and must maintain full time residency on Martha's Vineyard within six months.
The starting salary for either position is contingent upon qualifications, experience and current Water Operator Licenses.
