Job description
This role will support the Adult and Child Neurology Residency Programs and work closely with the Program Administrators and Program Leadership from conferences, events, to logistics. The individual will function as a course coordinator for visiting 4th year medical students.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Department Description
The Department of Neurology is a teaching, research, and clinical care unit within the School of Medicine (SOM). The Department of Neurology is a large, multi-site department, with locations including Mission Bay, Parnassus, Mt. Zion, ZSFG, VAMC and the Gladstone Institutes and is affiliated with the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. The department is constructed of 14 administrative divisions with 11 clinical specialties. The department has over 230 faculty and academic employees, 260 staff positions, and 150 trainees including: residents (46), clinical fellows (37) and postdoctoral scholars (70).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience / training
- Minimum one year of related experience
- Communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening. Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests. Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and courteous manner
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars / schedules requires extremely well organized and detail-oriented precision
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to troubleshoot and triages related technology issues
- Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports. Skills include entering, maintaining, extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems
- Basic knowledge of health professions education industry
- Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements
- Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systems. Familiarity with the administrative and operational implications in a program
