Scope of Position
To provide educational support to students in the College for Life program.
Key Measurable Expectations
The following are duties that are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.
- Assist classroom instructors in instruction and classroom management;
- Participate in the implementation of goals and objectives of each student;
- Provide individualized support services including, but not limited to reading, note taking, assistance with daily living skills;
- Assistance with mobility;
- Assistance with student participation in school sponsored activities;
- Communicate with Coordinator about student issues;
- Assist Coordinator with promoting the project and assigned students within the College and into the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required, some college coursework preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with a disability from culturally diverse backgrounds.
