Veolia is looking to hire a third or fourth year Electrical Apprentice. Applicants
must have the ability to be devoted to learning their trade and be flexible with
tasks assigned. This opportunity is for an individual that is punctual,
responsible, and has the ability to grasp new concepts quickly. While working
with licensed electricians you will be trained to layout, install, troubleshoot and
repair electrical systems up to maximum of 600 volts. This is a position which
will require travel to other Veolia locations. Applicants must be a registered
State of Connecticut Apprentice.
Job Description
distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, lighting systems, and conduit
all in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
installing low voltage communications cabling including ethernet terminations .
Maintain safety Equipment.
Maintain documentation, standard work practices/procedures and job specific
procedures.
Maintain facility electrical distribution, lighting and power integrity.
Continually seek opportunities for process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Flexibility and the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Perform tasking outdoors in environmentally challenging conditions including
rain,wind and cold weather.
Qualifications
- Driver's License and clean record . (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered State of Connecticut Apprentice.
- All classroom studies must be complete.
