Electrical Engineer - Tymetal Corp.

Tymetal Corp. is excited to announce the addition of a full-time opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in our Greenwich, NY office. This position will support the electrical needs of our security gate business and will be instrumental to our growth into new fields, such as industrial automation. Our Electrical Engineer will begin by working closely with sales and manufacturing to design electrical systems used for gate automation, barrier controls, site access controls, power distribution and communication. This position will also design vehicular controls and wiring for TARCO® systems and accessories.

Responsibilities of our Electrical Engineer:

• Design PLC and Relay Logic electrical systems as well as push button technology for mechanical systems
• Design and program HMI applications
• Develop electrical power and control wire diagrams and conduit layouts
• Develop shop floor fabrication drawings and process electrical system work orders
• Maintain and improve all current electrical drawings and installation instructions
• Develop testing methods for all designs and train to these testing methods
• Assist in the development of electrical shop fabrication methods and standard build practices

Qualifications of our Electrical Engineer:

• BS in Electrical Engineering and two years of practical experience or at least 6 years of relevant work experience
• AutoCAD or equivalent electrical CAD proficiency required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with document management systems
• Experience with equipment automation preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
