Kao Specialties Americas LLC is a specialty chemicals manufacturing company located in High Point, NC. KSA has three major business segments (1) Oleo Chemicals, (2) Performance Chemicals and (3) Specialty Chemicals including Imaging Materials and Aroma Chemicals.

KSA currently has a job opening for a Instrumentation & Electrical Technician position in our facility. This is a challenging, individual contributor position for a large chemical processing facility. Daily duties include:

• Rotating on-call and overtime (on-call pay provided)
• Repair and maintenance of process control equipment, electrical distribution systems and instrumentation.
• Must be able to qualify in procedures requiring Lockout/Tagout of equipment, follows repair procedures.
• Perform and assist in routine maintenance functions on equipment and systems.
• Assess equipment or system problem identification and recommend solutions.
• Maintain labor and work history via CMMS work order system daily.
• Clean, maintain plant maintenance areas and equipment

Qualification requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with electrical installation and troubleshooting or 1 year experience with electrical calibration and testing equipment.
• Previous electrical experience in industrial setting.

• High School diploma or GED.

• Lifting and/or moving items over 75lbs

• Moderate physical demand in regards to weights normally lifted and frequency of lifting.
• Wearing required PPE to include minimum of uniforms, hard hat, steel-toe boots and safety glasses. PPE and uniforms supplied by KSA.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
