Job description
Electrician having the necessary qualifications, training, experience, and technical knowledge to install, maintain, repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures and other purposes and who is licensed by the board.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Excellent electrical skills required
Capable of working alone up to 12 hours carrying out assigned tasks
Must be able to operate industrial lifts
Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite
Capable of lifting 50lbs frequently during the day
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, work at heights, and climb ladders throughout the day

Run conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers
Read drawings and schematics while also keeping them up to date
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors
Troubleshoot electrical problems on manufacturing equipment
Assist in general construction duties
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and testing of various electrical systems
Diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions and take corrective action
Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
Mentor Apprentices from beginning to end of assignment to ensure quality work and facilitate learning.
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you collaborate with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending are essential functions of this job.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum of four years' experience in an industrial setting
Must have knowledge of three-phase motors
Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools and soldering guns.
Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
Organization and time management.
Good problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of math concepts, geometry and layout
Good reading comprehension
Ability to work with others – team player
Ability to work independently – minimal supervision
Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
Commitment to Yokohama values and safety rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with National Electrical Code
Basic Computer efficiency
Formal/technical education

Physical Requirements

Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long period of times up to 12 hours a day.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for the job.
