Position Summary:

The Electronic Technician will test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic components.

What will your day look like? At Aerotech, you will:

  • Studies drawings, manuals, or specifications to troubleshoot electronic components
  • Assists engineers with prototype electronic components
  • Follows detailed instructions and procedures to conduct functional tests to evaluate electronic equipment
  • Reads and interprets schematic, assembly, and wiring diagrams
  • Adjusts and calibrates electronic equipment
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment to the component level


What will separate you from the rest?

  • Ability to use digital multimeters, current probes, and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to identify basic electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes while reading a schematic
  • Ability to solder surface mount and through hole components
  • Knowledge of basic electrical equation - Ohm's Law (V=IR, Voltage = Current x Resistance)
  • Effective computer literacy, including experience with ERP Software

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent; or a High School Diploma or GED with three to five years related experience and / or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
