The successful candidate for this position will be directly involved in the design and development of firmware for wireless base station and antenna components.
Responsibilities:
- Develop system specifications based on customer requirements.
- Carry out embedded software development using C, C++ and some inline assembler for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
- Assist in design verification testing as needed.
- Design and conduct lab experiments to support new product development programs.
- Create work instruction and test procedures.
- Interact with company engineers, technicians, suppliers, production, and management.
Skills, Experience and Education Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering minimum.
- Proficient use of C, C++ in embedded bare metal and Linux implementations.
- Experience programming with PIC and ARM based mcu/mpu’s.
- Working knowledge of FreeRTOS and Yocto Project a plus.
- Knowledge in data networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP…) is a plus.
- The ability to interpret specifications and protocols into working code is a must.
- Basic electronic circuit analysis regarding the use of memory, sensors (position, temperature, power), RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI and motor control is required.
- Proficient with the use of test equipment and protocol analyzers is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities is a must.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self motivated and results oriented.
