As an integral part of human resources, the Employee Relations Manager is responsible for building, facilitating, and supporting

employee relations and communications within the company. The employee relations manager will develop policies, processes and

practice implementation guides to address employee grievances, conflicts, separation, performance improvement plans, employee

write-ups, and supervisory best practices to elevate the employee and manager's experience within the agency.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent

Preferred Education: Master's degree or equivalent

Requirements:
1 Thorough knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices; organizational development; employee relations; diversity, equity, and inclusion; performance management; employee engagement; and federal and state respective employment laws.

2 SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred 3 Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

4 Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee and labor relations

5 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

6 Willingness to work outside the scope of the job description and initiative to recommend process improvements within the scope of job responsibilities.

7 Strong emotional intelligence quotient and exceptional customer service and communication skills. Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration

8 Demonstrable experience in developing and executing programs that measurably impact positive employee relations

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:
1 In addition to responsibilities below, performs all other duties as assigned.

2 Uses positive approaches when handling difficult situations. Avoids gossip and negative discussions. Remains flexible and adapts to change.

3 Identify and drive philosophies and programs to foster constructive employee relations and ensure the organizations' approach to its employees is fair, respectful and consistent

4 Remains sensitive and responsive to cultural differences of program participants and staff.

5 Participates in in-service training and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attends external training and workshops at direction of management.

6 Gather, analyze, and interpret data and metrics to develop recommendations and strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and engagement. Create management dashboards to review employee turnover rates, exit interview trends, lawsuits, and other data points related to employee relations.

7 Reduce risks by developing programs, policies, and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations, grievances practices, performance evaluation practices, and business decisions

8 Partner with HR, legal and program executives on complex employee relations issues. Provide guidance and counsel to employees on employee relations issues and workplace practices

9 Manage the employee grievance process by receiving, evaluating, and responding appropriately to employee concerns

10 Monitor and advise on the performance management review process. Design and drive training sessions and interventions to address performance management needs.
