We are looking for someone who can truly identify with our mission and project the organization's passion for what we do and who we serve among the community, to join our Information Technology (IT) team as a full time Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Application Specialist.

Job Summary: Oversees the day-to-day support of both production and development platforms and serves as the primary point of support for the system users. Redesigns workflows, facilitates end-user application training, supports go-live activities, monitors user adoption of existing and new workflows implemented, and reports findings and trends. Provides ongoing training and support for all existing and new staff members and assists users in applying EMR upgrades. Works with key stakeholders to capture requirements, perform gap analysis, and collaborate with application vendors in the effective implementation of their software.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Acts as primary point of contact for supporting NeArc's EMR applications.
  • Trains users in resolving routine problems, using new software and provides advice as well as guidance as needed.
  • Services the EMR Support needs of staff in all locations in a timely manner by responding to requests in person, on phone, via Zoom or through ticketing system.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots software. Implements corrective action procedures and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate, interfaces with software vendors as needed.
  • Plans and provisions new software and software integrations into production.
  • Maximizes use of software by training end-users and answering questions.
  • Proactively, researches new features and functions and assists the Operations and Clinical teams with incorporating new methods into their standard operating procedures.
  • Works with vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Assists with projects as assigned. IT projects include software upgrades, new implementation projects, implementation of new features and workflows within existing software.
  • Maintains and monitors system capability and collaborates with the IT team to resolve detected issues.
  • Works collaboratively as part of the IT team to resolve all technology challenges.
  • Maintains and improves technical skills and abilities through continuing professional education and certifications.
  • Travels from site to site on short notice, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working with EMR Application operations preferred.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting software in a medical environment. Familiarity with enterprise IT systems a plus.
  • Experience working with electronic health records software strongly preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must be local/able to work on site at our Danvers, MA office.
