One of the top Essex County hospitals in coastal northern Massachusetts is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for an opening in the acute care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains competencies in operation of all endoscopy equipment and reprocessing equipment. Orders and stocks supplies as required.
- Maintains and cleans equipment as directed, adhering to Infection Control policies. Assists with transportation of patients.
- Sets up and cleans endoscopy rooms as required. Provides assistance to the RN in the APR.
- Assists MD during endoscopy procedures Participates in Endoscopy call rotation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique and follows AORN standards for minor surgical procedures Handles specimens properly per hospital protocol.
- Keeps workspaces where medications are prepared clean, orderly, well lit, and free of clutter, distraction, and noise.
Requirements:
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hospital environment, preferably as a nursing assistance/technician
- Complete AJH Educational/Competency training.
- Maintains BLS
