This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.


This position pays between $71,600.00 to $89,500.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.


POSITION CONCEPT
Under limited supervision, evaluates the needs of segment customers and manages new and existing gas and energy efficiency programs to respond to those needs. Coordinates program implementation, including developing participation forecasts, designing promotions, managing contracts, tracking participation and budget, working with participating vendors, retailers, and contractors, and preparing regulatory compliance reports on programs.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Represents Company position to parties in regulatory proceedings and prepares testimony in support of compliance filings and reporting.

2. Develops and executes on marketing plans for programs or products including the preparation of scoping documents, financial analysis, market analysis, detailed action plans, communication plans, promotional plans, product distribution plans, training, and budgeting.

3. Evaluates customer and Company needs from a retail marketing perspective and creates ongoing energy efficiency marketing programs.

4. Ensures completion of project deliverables and contract performance of consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet goals.

5. Coordinates reporting and scheduled financial and/or performance reviews of current business, product, and service offerings.

6. Works directly with internal and external clients including local, state, regional and national representatives of various stakeholder organizations such as government, industry, environmental and customer organizations.

7. Conducts debriefing analysis and performance evaluation of products and services.

8. Designs and implements training programs in support of program implementation throughout the Company as required and may provide support and training on the development of new products and services to others.

9. Coordinates market research and market assessments and determines the economic and market potential for energy efficiency programs.

10. Coordinates with internal communications and advertising agencies and ensures the implementation of advertising and promotional programs; measures and tracks programs, monitors budget, and prepares performance reports.



RELATIONSHIPS
Key Internal: Regulatory, Legal, IT, Government Relations, Native American Relations, Performance Coaches and Executives.

Key External: Outside Counsel, Government Officials, Auditors, customer advocacy groups, American Gas Association, and other state, regional and national trade associations, and outside vendors for contracting purposes.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or Accounting.


Licenses/Certifications
Required: Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet the acceptable driving record requirements of the Company.
Preferred: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.


Experience
Direct Experience
Required: Five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities.



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
Required: In-depth understanding of marketing principles and financial analysis. In-depth understanding of energy utilization fundamentals and a general understanding of a broad range of energy application issues. In-depth knowledge of segment energy applications and technologies including current trends and the overall direction of the future of energy. Ability to conduct reliable market assessment and sizing for energy efficiency programs. Ability to translate the corporate business plan objectives into market opportunities. Ability to work independently in an ambiguous and changing work environment.
Preferred: A strong understanding of the company’s past, present, future, service territory, and guiding principles, rules, regulations, policies, and applicable laws.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment. May be required to work overtime and weekends depending on business needs. Moderate travel required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
