Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.


Skills Required:
  • The position requires at least 15 years of government space experience with at least 5 years of acquisition experience
  • MS/MBA in engineering, science, math, business, or human resources is desired. Three years’ experience credit for a Bachelor’s degree, or four years’ credit for a relevant Master’s degree
  • Proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Outlook, Project, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Excel
  • Superior verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required
  • Must be able to create, cultivate, and communicate innovative concepts and Courses of Action (COAs) anchored by expert analysis
  • Program management experience, strategic planning experience, or senior-level government space acquisition experience
  • Material leader experience and/or successful completion of DAU’s PMT 401 is highly desired
  • Expert on DoD acquisition policies
  • A secret-level clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship required



Responsibilities:
The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation at the Space Force Acquisition-Delta organizational level (Air Force Group equivalent).
  • Create new organizational concepts assessing unit impacts in technical, financial, and morale dimensions as well as integration impacts to the enterprise
  • Develop Space Force Acquisition-Delta and mission level acquisition strategies, plans, and concepts to support customers’ strategic and tactical objectives to include helping customers pass milestone reviews
  • Create new visions and messaging for the organization and cross-cutting concepts for improving portfolio management
