We are currently seeking an Engineering Assistant for our Pensacola, Florida office. We are willing to train the right individual who has excellent computer skills and is excited to work in a soil laboratory and learn about geotechnical engineering.
This position will provide a dynamic, team-oriented, and challenging work environment and unique opportunities to work on a variety of projects and activities in the office and in the field including:
- Site reconnaissance for geotechnical explorations.
- Classifying soil samples in the laboratory and assigning appropriate lab tests.
- Assembling proposals with the assistance of an engineer.
- Following up on proposals and providing efforts necessary to win projects.
- Assist engineers in producing reports.
- Assist in development of AutoCAD drawings.
- Assist in coordination of fieldwork and perform tasks in the field as needed.
- Performs other tasks and duties as needed by project managers and engineers.
Qualifications
- Superior technical ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient with Word, Excel, and Adobe DC.
- AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Must have valid Florida driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physically able to work and walk in outdoor/construction site environments with uneven terrain and variable outdoor conditions including heat, cold, noise, and moisture.

Job Type: Full-Time (Monday through Friday)
Salary: Hourly pay rate will be based on related experience.
