Position Title: Engineering Assistant
Job Purpose: Develops and revises standardized manufacturing work instructions for electro-mechanical devices based on direction from engineering, observe and photo document processes during initial setup phases and process improvement initiatives. Assist the manufacturing engineering department with other daily tasks including Agile entries, RoHS system inputs, and inputting data into corporate quoting tools.
Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create/revise clear and effective assembly work instructions for electronic devices to include circuit cards, flex cards, and top level mechanical assembly that will used by manufacturing operations
- Document processes/instructions through use of photography and other electronic means for inclusion in work instruction and other manufacturing aids
- Read and understand customer drawings and other technical documentation
- Review drawing packages and generate quoting reports using corporate quote tool (Excel based)
- Interface with Manufacturing Engineers and other professional staff on a daily basis
- Maintain work records and ensure all work product is organized and accurate
Education and Experience:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- 2 years minimum manufacturing experience; preferably in Electronics Manufacturing
- Understand use of Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Associates degree preferred, not required
- Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite
- Experience with AGILE preferred, not required
- Solid written/verbal business communication skills
- Experience with Factory Logix manufacturing software desired
