As the technical expert and Engineering Manager, you will oversee projects, provide technical assistance, and develop staff capabilities. With your strategic vision and strong leadership skills, you will ensure the achievement of performance goals, compliance with regulatory considerations, and the implementation of best practices. What You Will Do
Technical Expert/Project Management
- Managing multiple projects and coordinating the resources required to complete those projects.
- Identify and implement methods of measuring equipment utilization.
- Manages and develops direct reports through project management.
- Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
- Provide cost-effective equipment solutions for new products or procedures.
Budget and capital spending plan ownership
- Facilitates the development and maintenance of operating budget and capital spending plan.
- Develop a cost-effective equipment reliability strategy.
- Recommends cost-justified utility improvements (Gas, Electricity, Air, Water, and Wastewater)
What You Will Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of Engineering or Manufacturing experience to include supervisory, managerial, or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 9 years of Engineering or Manufacturing experience to include supervisory, managerial, or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Knowledge and understanding of statistical concepts.
- Experience effectively presenting information to management.
- Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration plus 8 years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing to include supervisory, managerial, or project management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
- Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Compensation:
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $127,500 - $191,300
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
