Department Summary
The University of North Texas Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC) conducts evidence-based direct services, research, and training to positively impact individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families, and the community.

Position Overview
The Clinical Support Specialist provides customer service to both clients and staff to ensure effective operations, and high levels of engagement and satisfaction. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the clinical team by maintaining an accurate clinical schedule, addressing health and safety standards, and maintaining accurate clinical records.

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience working with students or customers in a service-oriented environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, critical thinking and administrative skills.
  • Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic customer-oriented environment with flexibility to accommodate adjusting priorities.
  • Sensitive to cultural diversity and backgrounds. Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, CRM.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • One year of experience providing services to individuals with autism.

Job Duties

o
Provides customer service to KFAC clients and clinical staff to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

o
Responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating client and staff schedules a timely and professional manner.

o
Effectively addresses and resolves problems related to scheduled and unscheduled client and staff absences.

o
Effectively uses technology to maintain effective operations ensuring staff and client arrival, activities, and dismissal are accurately recorded.

o
Maintains staff and client spreadsheets including schedules, availability, contact information, position, etc. and prepares reports as requested to inform clinic metrics.

o
Conducts regular meetings with clinical, training, and administrative team members to ensure accurate client staffing and projections are met.

o
Assists in the correct and timely entry of time, and addresses other pay issues, as assigned, for KFAC staff.

o
Maintains awareness of client needs, staff skills, and space utilization to assist in decision-making related to client assignments.

o
Disseminates tasks involving the preparation, organization and maintenance of materials related to client programming as directed by clinical team members.

o
Conducts routine inspections of clinical areas, and addresses concerns to ensure health and safety standards are met.
