The Enterprise Alignment Consultant invests in the future of Southwest’s People through their work managing strategic plans and ensuring value is captured from top Enterprise initiatives. This role will work with initiative owners across the organization to capture progress on initiatives and own Executive-level forums that help facilitate discussion, make decisions, provide plan progress visibility, and increase Team alignment. This role will also help to identify risks, conflicts, and issues requiring discussion by the Executive Team in order to progress initiatives. Job Summary
Enterprise Alignment Consultant ensures execution of the Company’s long term strategic plans by ensuring alignment across the enterprise, including cross functionally, by identifying misalignment, risks, opportunities, and dependencies across department level plans. Incumbent drives alignment, makes recommendations, and serves as a liaison between Corporate Strategy, Enterprise Alignment, FP&A, and individual departments at various levels including Sr. Leadership.
Responsibilities
Work with Corporate Strategy Team to ensure department level plans align with multi-year plan goals
Partner with Department Leadership and department planning teams to gather department level plans supporting Southwest’s long-term strategic plans, includes ensuring alignment of department level plans to Southwest’s long-term strategic plans
Analyze department level plans as part of an integrated multi-year plan to identify potential misalignments, risks, dependencies, and issues
Identify decisions/discussions needing Executive level oversight
Partner with Corporate Strategy, Corporate Planning, FP&A, Department planners, and Technology to understand cross-functional business planning processes
Establish clear processes for monitoring work and measuring results
Develop quality and timely presentation material for updates with the Executives, Sr. Leaders, and planners
Lead meetings with Leaders and planners across the enterprise
Evolve planning processes over time to be more consistent across departments and functions
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly skilled in written and verbal communication including the ability to communicate complex issues in a structured and concise manner
Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to small audiences, including Senior Leadership
Ability to take initiative and assume accountability for achieving results
Ability to be responsive and adaptable to efficiently manage quick-turn Executive level requests
Ability to lead discussions and align multiple parties, with conflicting/diverse viewpoints, on direction for specific initiatives
Ability to project poise, confidence and maturity in both internal and external situations
Ability to work under stressful situations from tight deadlines and competing priorities and manage time effectively
Ability to report and problem-solve leveraging analytical and quantitative modeling
Ability to properly manage highly sensitive and confidential information
Ability to contend with a range and complexity of large business problems
Ability to understand corporate financial analysis and financial statement Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Working directly with Department Leaders (VP and Director level) on complex business issues
Developing and executing business plans
Managing all phases of large scale programs, with an emphasis on complex business change preferred
Developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Executives on self-created opportunities
Leading Teams, setting Team goals, managing competing priorities, presenting to 20 or more people, and interfacing directly with Sr. Leaders
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
Ability to use a computer with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
