The Collections Specialist will contact customers to resolve past due balances and work with the collection agency. You will work with a team of finance professionals in a collaborative work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Make outbound collection calls to past due customers to collect payments and discuss account activity.
• Maintain and notate all appropriate information and documentation on customer's account status.
• Work with third-party collections agencies.
• Meet bi-weekly and month-end deadlines.
• Work with internal departments to resolve payment or accounting issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Collection experience.
• Excellent customer service and phone skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or vocational school training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time
