GMEP Engineers is a fast-growing engineering consulting firm, providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, Structural, Revit modeling & CFD analysis. We are pursuing engineering excellence with efficiency and dedication. Our main office is in Orange County, CA, and several branch offices in California and Texas. We are now seeking entry-level structural engineers for our Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and a quick learner. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
Qualification/Skill Requirements:
· Knowledgeable of wood structure design.
· Knowledgeable of appropriate Building Codes
· Assist to prepare structural analysis
· Assist in Design for gravity and lateral load resisting systems utilizing all current industry available materials
· Take part in inspections and structural assessment of existing buildings and reports
· Shop drawings
Education / Experience:
· Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
· Experience with analysis tools for Structural design.
· Internship or working experiences in professional firms is preferred.
· Analytical skills and understanding of engineering statistics, dynamics, and structural load path.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D and 2D).
