The EMP Coordinator provides transition and communication between production and support departments on a daily basis to complete the operations of the environmental monitoring systems. This position also ensures all EMP samples are collected, documented and routed. An ability to quickly reprioritize and adjust planned duties based on daily events is a must in this role.

Leadership:

• Leads portions of the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly daily direction setting meetings, including: o Daily reporting and prioritization of identified areas of opportunity o Contributing to development and execution of the plan for the day
• Identifies and addresses safety risks related to EMP and Quality activities (standard and non-standard) and prioritizes safety risks identified.
• Takes the lead on the following: o Team development o Own accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics for shift o Execution of shift specific improvement plan actions

Essential Functions:

• Act as Subject Matter Expert in quality inspection software, performs and assign inspections, including inspections necessary for the EMP program.
• Report data and graphs on a regular basis for daily direction setting, monthly KPIs or projects as needed.
• Assist Quality Supervisor, Quality Systems Coordinator and Quality Manager in finished goods lot traces or recall processes.
• Create work requests/notifications for Quality and other departments within plant and communicate overdue requests.
• Work closely with all departments to maintain flow of communication and provide leadership to Quality personnel while promoting cooperation between other departments.
• Coordinate and fabricate requested samples for shipment when requested by management, suppliers, or other outside parties.
• Ensure inventory supply for QC Lab is maintained.
• Update, and review QA/QC and EMP procedures and policies as new changes are implemented through document control.
• Assist in Foreign Material investigations upon request.
• Perform and lead root cause analysis for finished goods out of spec results, audit findings, foreign material and other nonconformances.
• Complete usage decisions on all finished micro samples once completed and entered by Microbiology Technicians.
• Extend or schedule for destruct expired materials by following procedures and protocol of the approval from corporate.
• Prepare and collect micro samples for pathogen testing of finished goods and the environment while following proper GMPs, safety guidelines, and aseptic procedures.

• Monitor and sample the areas and products that are out of specification for micros and perform investigations and corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain list of sample collection sites, prepare paperwork, labels, confirm for accuracy, organize and ship samples, and maintain the FDA box of in-date sponges.
• Monitor and evaluate new equipment for impact to the quality system and environmental program
• Complete assignments and projects as directed by Quality Manager and Supervisor.

Pay: $29.17 per hour
