We are seeking a skilled EpicCare Stork to join our team. The EpicCare Stork is a specialized software application developed by Epic Systems Corporation for managing obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) care. It is designed to streamline and enhance the care provided to pregnant women and their babies throughout the entire maternity journey.
Responsibilities:
- The software allows healthcare providers to track and manage the progress of a pregnancy, including prenatal visits, ultrasounds, lab results, and patient education. It provides a centralized platform to document and access comprehensive patient information.
- EpicCare Stork enables healthcare professionals to document the entire labor and delivery process, including vital signs, interventions, medications, and fetal monitoring. It provides real-time updates and captures important information to ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
- The software assists in managing postpartum care for both the mother and the newborn. It allows healthcare providers to monitor the health and well-being of the mother, track postpartum recovery, manage breastfeeding information, and document newborn assessments, immunizations, and feeding schedules.
- EpicCare Stork offers features to manage high-risk pregnancies, including gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, multiple gestations, and other complex conditions. It enables healthcare providers to closely monitor and coordinate care for these high-risk patients
- The software facilitates communication and collaboration among the care team involved in the patient's maternity care. It allows for secure messaging, appointment scheduling, and sharing of patient information across different healthcare providers and departments.
- EpicCare Stork seamlessly integrates with the broader Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, enabling comprehensive and unified patient records. This integration ensures that all relevant healthcare information is readily available to authorized users across various care settings.
- College Degree (A.S, Diploma, B.A., B.S. or 5+ years commensurate experience) in a field of study such as business, IS, or a healthcare related is required
- Yearly participation in ongoing education either formal or through conferences, active professional organization participation, or journal presentations.
- Epic ClinDoc or Stork Certification
- Maintenance of current licensure or certification related to area of specialty
