Norman S. Wright – Duckworth Mechanical is seeking to hire an Estimator / Application Engineer for our Fresno office. Looking for someone ready to work, willing to learn, with some construction‐knowledge/estimating background preferred; an engineering degree is not required. This is a full‐time estimating position that works closely with Outside Sales and Senior Inside Sales reviewing plans & specifications, creating estimates, and reviewing technical product details.

Skills/Qualifications:
 Excellent math, critical thinking, and analytical skills
 Knowledge of construction processes, schedule, plans & specifications
 Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts desirable
 High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
 Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment with multiple bid deadlines.
 Ability to work independently, be self‐starting with minimal supervision
 General knowledge of office equipment usage, computers including Microsoft Office applications
 Willingness to learn new programs/processes/technical product information
 Professional customer service demeanor
 Industrial or technical training beyond High School Diploma/GED at minimum

Duties:
 Review plans & specifications; creates quotes, orders products
 Daily data entry of customer and product information
 Provide product and pricing information to customers
 Daily communication with internal team members and vendors; limited outside customer communication
 Utilize computer‐based pricing & selection tools
 Produce electronic and paper copy versions of product submittal packages
 Assist Outside‐Sales Engineers with equipment product selections and consider value engineering options
 Perform various related administrative functions related to project management, i.e. filing, copying, faxing, sorting.
 Occasional out‐of‐town/overnight travel for training

Physical Requirements:
 Occasional lifting, bending, ability to lift 25 pounds.
 Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
 Occasional moving about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
 May require constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a
calculator, copy machine, phone, and computer printer
 May require constant moving of hands/fingers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
