Celerity Consulting Group has openings for Estimators. This position is ideal for a Technician looking to develop a career in the consulting industry assisting Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Prepares cost estimates and construction plans for Utility infrastructure.
• Estimates labor and material costs.
• Works a mix of in-office and in-the-field.
• Obtains joint-pole agreements & initiates right-of-way procedures, licenses, permits, etc.
• Provide project support duties as requested by the Project Manager.
• Review and incorporate historical data into unit and man-hour figures.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 1+ years of estimating experience, in a utility environment is preferred.
• Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a valid class C California Drivers License or ability to obtain by first day of employment.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and applicable Engineering programs.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Strong analytical and mathematic skills.
• Must be able to interpret drawings, plans, profiles, maps.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to access remote facilities not accessible by vehicle, may need to walk/hike in difficult terrain.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with staff/clients who have inquiries.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a mouse, keyboard, scanner, copier, and calculator.
• Ability to move and/or carry boxes up to 40 pounds with or without assistance
• This position may navigate thought tight spaces and steep stairways.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a mouse, keyboard, scanner, copier, and calculator
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Ability to drive oneself to any assigned Northern California locations.
