JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Field Supervisor – Excavation, manages the excavation crew for all scheduled jobs for the New Jersey & PaDe branches with the ability to install and perform sewer excavations. MUST have plumbing experiance (licensed preferred) and experiance operating excavation equipment. Responsibilities include overseeing the plumbers, installers, operators, crew and helpers to ensure the work is completed in accordance with the scope of work outlined in the sales contract and to customer’s expectations and satisfaction. The Field Supervisor will ensure compliance with safety/OSHA, local, state and federal (OSHA) regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Review scope of work with Sales Estimator, work with Excavation Planning Manager to ensure dig planning accuracy, and manage the install crew to a successful work completion.
Schedule work crews for all sewer excavation jobs.
Resolve scheduling conflicts and maximize number of jobs performed weekly to meet customer needs and achieve company’s revenue and gross profit goals.
Successfully drive high levels of performance within the install team in order to meet revenue and profitability targets through set KPI’s.
Continuously evaluate business needs and implement actionable plans to drive continuous process improvement practices: drive results and consistently deliver on our brand promise of timely and quality service.
Provide an excellent customer service experience at every touch point in the service cycle. Function as customer liaison.
Research excavation best practices and work with Management to design effective policies and procedures for Sewer/Excavation Department to meet business scalability needs (incl: install/operators work instructions, flow charts, quality checklist, etc.)
Conducts dig quality audits. Prepare corrective action plans when quality does not meet standards; i.e. dig preparedness; material usage on the job; after-dig customer yard appearance, etc.
Triage customer complaints and non conformance issues and work with internal excavation team to schedule call backs as needed.
Assure ongoing compliance with quality, state, local and federal regulatory requirements.
Collect customer payment and final paperwork to include final signature for final job sign off.
Work with Sales Estimator for questions or issues arising on dig site.
Ensure equipment maintenance schedules are maintained.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
Ability to travel within a set geographical area to multiple locations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early/late shifts, extended hours, weekends and holidays when required.

Plumbing Experiance (Licened preferred)
Operating Experiance
Outstanding customer service skills.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
Ability to solve complex business problems, develop appropriate action plan and manage internal resources.
Excellent time management experience and ability to multi-task.
PAY:
Base salary with piece rate for sewers installed. Potential to earn in excess of $140,000/year. Must have the ability to install sewers and manage install crews.
