At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. Our bottles and jars are primarily made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which has rapidly become the world’s preferred packaging material. PET is lightweight, shatterproof, recloseable, resealable, reusable and infinitely recyclable*.
With approximately 6,000 people across about 50 manufacturing operations in 11 countries and an annual revenue of US$2.9 Billion, ARP provides rigid packaging solutions to the beverage, pharmaceutical, food, and home and personal care segments.

Position Overview:
This position provides executive level administrative support to the Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP) Chief Finance Officer as well as other associated members of the ARP Lead Team. Duties include performing a wide variety of high-level administrative duties including transcribing correspondence, maintaining calendars, making domestic and international travel arrangements, developing presentations, keeping records, arranging & coordinating meetings, and other administrative functions as required.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide executive support such as making phone calls, typing correspondence and minutes, sending emails, maintaining/ordering office supplies, preparing reports and presentations or proposals, processing mail etc.
  • Maintain calendar regarding travel dates, conferences, and meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of project and workload activity and coordinate/follow-ups as directed.
  • Organize and maintain files and records.
  • Create and maintain expense reports with proper backup. Follow-up on dates when payments will be received and reconcile credit card statement.
  • Reconcile purchasing card statement versus purchases made for that month and submit for approval on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for standard office procedures, including processing mail, and answering telephones.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls large work volume in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate and execute group meetings and conferences, including hotel &, transportation reservations, food, presentation set-up, team building activities, and conference space.
  • Set tone for overall administrative support and professionalism in Ann Arbor and Manchester locations.
  • Handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate’s degree required in a business related field
  • 10 years of administrative assistant support to executives and senior level managers
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy; strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint especially)
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes and Ariba (preferred)
  • Outstanding ability to maintain and deal with confidential information
  • Demonstrated professional work characteristics, high initiative, dependability, and credibility
  • Must be well organized, possess outstanding administrative skills, and be able to interface with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to organize and manage several executives
  • Must possess basic problem solving skills
  • Travel: 10-25%
