What part will you play?

  • GAF Energy is seeking a Facilities Manager who will lead facility services at our Manufacturing campus in Georgetown, TX
  • You will report to the Director, Manufacturing Engineering and support a cross-functional team that designs and builds solar roofing products. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a start-up, fast-paced and multi-shift environment
  • The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail, thrive working in a fast-paced environment who is able to “switch hats” quickly and often

What will you do?

  • Manage and/or assist in facility capital improvement projects and installations
  • Establish and manage facility maintenance program
  • Ensure the facility is compliant with State & Federal Safety Codes
  • Monitor and update preventative maintenance records and perform services as planned
  • Schedule, supervise, and/or perform basic repairs and maintenance of site utilities
  • Contact and schedule contractors/vendor for performing maintenance, installations and repair work, or performing yourself, as appropriate
  • Ensure all contracts are reviewed on a regular basis and are bid out as required and confirm invoices match contract pricing
  • Ensure installation and maintenance work execution is compliant with statutory regulations
  • Provide data and reports necessary for developing capital budgets for the facilities
  • Writing/updating procedures, policies, SOPs, Forms, and work flows as needed to support facilities services
  • Manage regular inspections on all utilities, electrical power, light, and water for the facilities
  • Coordinate Health and Safety routines (such as fire drills and inspections)
  • Coordinate Hazardous waste material pick-up with vendor
  • Drive facility projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • Respond to facility issues to resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What do we require from you?

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in facilities management/engineering position
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and other environmental regulations
  • Relevant professional certification will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing expansions and start-ups
  • Skilled in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external functional teams verbally, in writing, and via presentations
  • Impeccable attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and efficient
