As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. We are currently seeking a Federal Funds Manager. This is a full-time position that will be primarily remotely based with travel required to client sites as needed.

The responsibilities of the Federal Funds Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a team member for consulting engagements associated with federal funds management and helping state and local governments recover from the financial and economic impacts of COVID-19.

  • Manage a portfolio of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) recipients as a primary point of contact to ensure compliance with Treasury reporting and program regulations.

  • Oversee timely submissions of Project and Expenditure reports to support the provision of strategic guidance on the utilization and implementation of federal funds.

  • Communicate results of monitoring and reporting analysis with project and client management.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop client deliverables and facilitate comprehensive financial, compliance, and programmatic support to state agencies and their sub-recipients.

  • Form trusted advisor relationships with clients, state agencies, sub-recipients, and internal subject matter experts.

  • Assist client performance management of SLFRF funds through routine and proactive assessment of the overall portfolio, anticipating challenges, and providing recommendations.

Candidates for Federal Funds Manager must possess the following qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of work experience.

  • Previous experience in one or more of the following: a state/local government, management consulting, grants management, public policy, or financial management.

  • Demonstrated past performance serving states and local governments in financial/grant program monitoring and oversight and a history of strong relationship management.

  • High-level written and verbal communication skills. Ability to distill complex federal policy and compliance procedures into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Candidates for Federal Funds Manager may also have the following qualifications:

  • Experience in QuickBase and Microsoft Teams.
