Position Overview

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of both Reliant Gases and customer owned Carbon Dioxide Systems including storage tanks, delivery systems, telemetry, and other ancillary equipment. Responsibility will include working closely with the Reliant Gases sales team, distribution team and our customers to deliver solutions and value to the customer. A comprehensive preventative maintenance program will be used to enhance system operation, reliability, and safety. On-call times and overnight travel will be required, and the work environment will be mostly outdoors. The ideal candidate will be willing to take on new opportunities and embrace the position with a sense of ownership and pride.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

o Installation and commissioning of carbon dioxide systems including storage and delivery systems.

o Perform annual inspections and replace or repair equipment as needed based on those inspections.

o Perform all duties and operations with safety and compliance being the main considerations.

o Perform site surveys to ensure compliance with CGA, NFPA and local codes.

o Work with vendors to ensure accurate estimates and correct completion of work.

o Licensed, or be able to acquire license, and be proficient in Carbon Dioxide refrigeration systems.

Skillset and Background

o Highly motivated with a genuine desire to succeed.

o Mechanical Trade School, HVAC, or equivalent skillset

o Technical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems required.

o Customer communication skills and problems solving ability.

o Handle hazardous materials in a safe & responsible manner.

o 2 years’ experience in the industrial gas industry or equivalent preferred

o Clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a company vehicle
