Tesco Controls’ core business is designing and building process control systems and power solutions for municipalities and industrial clients to keep critical infrastructure operating efficiently. As a full-service Systems Integrator and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), we design, engineer, manufacture, program, and integrate electrical, power, and process control systems for water/wastewater, transportation, power, and renewable energy facilities. Job Summary:
Are you looking to put your skills to work on dynamic and challenging jobs? Our Field Service Technicians commission new installations, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and automation control issues and perform repairs for Control Panels that keep our community running!
Essential Functions:
- Setup and startup various instrumentation and electrical devices including PLC’s
- Review project electrical schematics and diagrams prior to going out into the field to ensure proper application and installation of equipment
- Effectively diagnose problems and perform necessary repairs including the replacement of defective parts, electrical wiring and panel modifications, and troubleshooting
- Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests
- Required to be on call at least two weeks annually
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- High School or GED and experience required or
- Associates degree in electronics or related field a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of technical field experience or related field
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of technical report writing
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, calibration standards, and basic components
- Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical devices
- Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical devices, PLC control panels and programs
- Understanding of electrical controls, P & ID diagrams, and instrumentation loop
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and reach
- Required to use various hand tools and calibration instruments
- Regularly required to walk for long periods of time
- Regularly required to drive at least 50 miles to job sites
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs (at least 20 feet high) using proper safety equipment
- Ability to enter confined spaces
Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
