The Finance Director ensures the timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements, General Ledger and Asset Management for the Part 135 air carrier and oversees the daily operations of the Finance Department.
Your Responsibilities:
Financial well-being of the organization
Supports the development and monitoring of both capital and operating budgets, the development of tactical plans and their implementation, the development of forecasts and budgets, the presentation and interpretation of financial information to senior leadership, and front-line managers.- Suggests activities which will improve efficiencies, contribution margin or financial performance.
Regulations, Monitoring and Reporting
Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of financial records and financial statements including general ledger and capital asset systems.- Leads the planning process of the Part 135 air carrier's budget and forecast.
- Reports progress made to senior management and leads preparation of monthly management letter.
- Establishes and maintains the integrity of the cost accounting system by assuring data integrity and appropriate value assignment.
- Meets deadlines for month and year-end closing for financial statements, MD&A and other required analysis.
- Leads business development projects and possesses the ability to progress a project from conception to implementation and monitoring.
- Prepares fair and accurate capital acquisition assessments in a manner that is consistent with finance standard practice, policy, and procedure.
- Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
Supervision, Audit and Other
Monitors resource utilization, payroll, supplies and expenses.- Communicates with external and internal auditors to maximize information and efficiency.
- Lead the year-end financial audit and quarterly reviews by ensuring the timeliness of deliverables and completeness and accuracy of financial statement supporting schedules.

- Conflict Management: “Higher order” interpersonal skill that involves helping colleagues to avoid or resolve interpersonal conflicts
- Decision Making: Leaders having the ability to make good decisions or lead a good decision-making process
Qualifications:
- BS or BA in accounting or similar degree.
- 5+ years Corporate Accounting with strong GAAP or IFRS experience, a mix of private and public accounting experience is ideal.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong ERP systems experience required.
- SAP experience and understanding of inter-company transaction setup preferred.
- Expert in Excel financial formulas and data warehouses.
- Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, rapidly growing, and fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills with all levels of management.
