HERFF JONES, Finance Manager, College and Scholastic Sales , Indianapolis

Your Opportunity: The Herff Jones team is looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in Indianapolis.

Here's How You’ll Make an Impact:
As the Finance Manager, Partner Services, on the Accounting & Finance Team, you will need to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve financial management issues within our sales territories and to resolve Sales Partner Financial Reporting related issues. As well as facilitating audit requests and ensuring all Partner Financial information is complete and accurate. This role will be responsible for the data analysis and reporting across many areas, including:

Contract analysis and accounting

Manage the DSO/DPO for the College and Scholastic business

Forecasting cash inflow and outflows

Improve visibility and process flows for payments to College and Scholastic customers

Partnering with the sales team to provide timely information on financial performance

The individual hired for this position will need to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively cross-functionally to Achieve Greatness in this role.

What we want you to accomplish:
Transform the way in which Partners & Herff Leadership have visibility to information related to all Partner activities.

Lead the audit activities for the Partner related accounts and develop process documents to enhance the overall understanding of the activities plus related accounting.

Partner with the Manager of Financial Sales & Support to forecast all cash activity related to Commissions, Field Bank, and Deliver & Collect

Partner with the Manager of Financial Sales & Support to develop plans to reduce Sales Partner Unapplied balances and DSO

Develop comprehensive financial reporting to Sales Partners

Core Activities:
Influence business decisions by providing effective analyses for College Sales contractual obligations, incentives and rebate programs.

Prepare, analyze and post monthly journal entries & balance sheet account reconciliations related to the College and Scholastic sales including contractual tracking and analysis.

Assist with external audit requests surrounding the College and Scholastic accounting.

Review monthly/quarterly results with leadership in preparation of monthly operating results meeting.

Monitor and remediate gaps in the internal control structure of the College and Scholastic processes.

Partner with key stakeholders to continuously improve processes as opportunities for improvement are identified.

Forecast and track cash flow requirements and partner with the sales/collection teams to improve DSO/DPO for the accounts.

Education / Certifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA license is a plus.

5-7 years’ experience with a mix of public and private experience as well as 2 years of supervisory experience.

Strong in MS Office Applications, particularly excel

Use of advanced MS applications such as PowerPivot, Power Query and Power BI

Use of large ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle or Peoplesoft
