The SSC (Shared Service Center) Accounting takes care of transactional accounting and record to report activities for all businesses of NewCold except for those having their own accounting department. These businesses are located around the globe and concern both warehouses and transport. The team of the SSC is supervised by the Manager SSC Accounting. The SSC Accounting needs to grow and further professionalize to keep up with the growing demand of services as a result of the growth and professionalization of the NewCold group.

About the vacancy

To support our further worldwide growth, we are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Department. You will be working in close collaboration with the respective controller and an AP/PO colleague. Next to that you will collaborate with other team members both national and international on improving the way of working by standardizing, simplifying, and automating. You will report to the Manager SSC Accounting.

What will you do?

· Oversee the day-to-day accounting under tight deadlines and in line with the policies and guidelines for the SSC of NewCold.

· Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing in line with the SSC closing checklist

· Analysis and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (including subledgers bank, AR and AP)

· Registration of payrolling

· Preparation of VAT returns, vendor payments and audit documentation (together with the North American controllers)

· Assist in various improvement projects for the SSC team

Who are we looking for?

You are a finance professional who is ready for a next step in his/her career. You are eager to learn new skills, share what you know, expand your network and contribute to the continued growth of NewCold. You have an affinity for financial accounting and preferably you have worked in an international environment.

In addition, you have:

· 3-7 years of financial accounting experience

· Bachelors in Accounting or Finance

· NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or JD Edwards experience is a plus

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced transaction-driven environment

· A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility

· Can take on multiple projects/tasks and problem solve

· Highly experienced with Excel and other Microsoft software

· Experienced with PowerBi is a bonus

· Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines
