MANCOS and HIGH DESERT CONSERVATION DISTRICTS’
FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR AND OFFICE MANAGER POSITION

This position is a cooperative position between the Mancos (MCD) and High Desert Conservation Districts (HDCD) in
Montezuma County and serves to coordinate and manage all activities and conduct the daily business of the Districts.

JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Administrator and Office Manager (OM) serves as the primary contact and interface between private landowners, agricultural producers and groups seeking information or services from the Districts. The OM coordinates the Districts’ involvement in a variety of natural resource programs and activities with partners, private landowners and organizations. The OM possesses a working knowledge of all district enterprises and activities and facilitates the functions of both District Boards.

LOCATION: The position is housed in the MCD office in Mancos, Colorado, with split office hours at the HDCD/USDA
Service Center in Cortez, CO.

DUTIES:

*Administrative and Marketing
- Prepares and maintains accurate financials and grant tracking.
- Prepares various reports, plans and requests according to schedule.
-Organizes District sponsored meetings, workshops and events.
-Maintains accessible and organized District files.
-Works with District Manager to file all DOLA and CSCB required documents
-Maintains joint District website.
-Ability to oversee and do minor repairs to small office equipment

*Seedling Tree and Conservation Material Sales and Equipment Rentals
-Creates sales and maintains inventory in Square sales platform.
-Advertises and promotes tree and material sales.
-Oversees and coordinates with District Conservation Technician for all sales and equipment rental.
-Reports to Boards on cost and income of programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
*Degree in related field desired, or equivalent management experience
*Ability to stay organized and work independently
*Willingness to work cooperatively and develop rapport with both Boards and other organizations
*Proficient in Microsoft office suite and Google docs and ability to learn other software platforms as needed
*Advanced knowledge and expertise (Certification preferred) in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
*Proficient in social media, marketing, graphic design and outreach

SUPERVISION:
The OM will report directly to the District Manager of the MCD for daily tasks and outcomes and directly to the Executive
Director on all financial administration and grant tracking. The District Boards establish the work schedule, set the pay scale, and conduct employee evaluations with the Executive Director.

COMPENSATION:
Full-time, Salary, $40,000-$45,000 annually, (based on experience). Paid time off, and some holidays. Health/Dental
