The Office of Financial Services (OFS) is seeking candidates for Financial Operations Generalist 1. This position will be remote for the foreseeable future but may require office attendance when necessary. The position is based at 2 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303. JOIN OUR TEAM!!!

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Pay Grade: GUnder direct supervision, performs paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, budget monitoring or related general accounting processes.Roles & Responsibilities: Process Travel statements, bills for services rendered, and direct bills for payment accurately and timely.Process assigned Basic Expense Forms, contracts, and reclaims, MSLR invoices accurately and timely according to invoice numbering convention and AP Documentation procedures.Audit Travel statements for compliance with SAO and DHS policies and requirements.Review and resolve budget rejections daily.Help research and follow-up with outstanding Travel advances.Review critical payments monthly and/or weekly to ensure payments are made timely to prevent disconnections and notices.Review work documents for exactness, neatness, and conformance to governmental, agency, and departmental practices, processes, policies and procedures.Communicating daily with internal and external clients to provide information and/or resolve issues involving Accounts Payable.Assisting other Accounts Payable Team members as needed to achieve departmental goals and deadlines.Core Competences: Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable.Efficient Data Processing skills.Self-starter who desires to develop his/her talent and advance within the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in a business curriculum or related field from an accredited college or university.ORHigh school diploma or GED AND Two (2) years of experience performing accounting and/or fiscal control functions.Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following education/skills/experience: Four (4) years or more of recent Accounts Payable experience.Experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP systems.Most possess good written and oral communication skills. Ability to solve problems and think outside the box.Must be a Team Player.
