Position Summary:

Showplace, a manufacturer of kitchen cabinetry, has an AWESOME onsite fitness center and we are looking for a fitness coach to join our team! The fitness coach will perform all duties to create a quality exercising environment by instructing and coaching clients in various exercises and activities. Must be able to help clients assess their physical fitness level and encourage and help them set and reach their fitness goals. Coach must also provide information and resources in regards to nutrition, weight control and other lifestyle choices. Assist in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of company-wide total wellbeing initiatives. Develop programs that create awareness, motivation and provides tools to employees that help them adapt and maintain a well rounded healthy lifestyle.

Working Hours:

This is a part time position. Coach led group fitness classes happen between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm Monday through Friday. The hours outside of that are flexible. We are looking for a candidate that would prefer to work around 25 hours a week between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm.

Essential Functions:

• Explain and enforce safety rules and the use of exercise equipment through membership orientation.
• Understand the needs of the member and plan the workout routine accordingly.
• Maintain professional standards among clients. These standards include: punctuality, proper attire and the creation and maintenance of a friendly, safe and motivating training relationship.
• Offer alternatives during classes to accommodate different levels of fitness.
• Teach proper techniques and demonstrate the exercises and ensure that the client is performing the exercises correctly.
• Motivate the client to achieve the set fitness goals.
• Provide nutrition and fitness tips to the client to enhance the workout program.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean environment in the fitness center and lockers including laundering of towels.
• Ensure that the exercise equipment is in good condition.
• Coordinate all wellness actives to include screenings, challenges, education and events.
• Work with the safety coordinator to ensure proper stretching mechanics are being used on the production floor.
• Develop, coordinate, manage and maintain total wellbeing programming to reduce health risks, medical costs and encourage healthy lifestyles.

General Requirements:

• Personal Training Certificate and CPR Certification

• Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
