Fitness Specialist - Woman's Center for Wellness - Part Time
Job description
Job Summary:
Responsible for conducting one-on-one and group training exercise sessions with members and non-members. Other duties include exercise testing and evaluation, and the development of appropriate exercise programs. Performs various duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Job Knowledge:
Must be knowledgeable of exercise standards and guidelines established by the American College of Sports Medicine. Must have an understanding of exercise testing and training and prescription; must have excellent communication skills. Nationally recognized personal trainer certification required within first 90 days of employment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or health-related field required.
- National certification in personal training or exercise physiology is required.
- Three years of experience in personal training and/or exercise instruction preferred.
Hours:
Part Time
Monday - Friday with weekend rotations
Pay Range:
$16.38 - $23.14
Experience
Required- CPR certification.
- Group Fitness experience
- 2 year(s): Prior experience as Fitness Specialist or comparable position
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, or Exercise Leadership.
Education
Required- Bachelor's Degree or better
