Fleet Maintenance-Cost Analyst - CA0223

Sanders Brothers Construction is currently seeking a Fleet Maintenance Analyst to support Sanders Brothers vehicle and equipment maintenance program located in North Charleston, SC. The Company owns, operates and maintains over 400 pieces of rolling equipment. Responsibilities include analyzing utilization and costs (labor, parts, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Extract and import equipment data from accounting software system

Accurately track, analyze, and report construction equipment and trucking related expense data

Develop and implement detailed financial analysis and reporting by using knowledge of analytical measurements, concepts, and effective methods of remedy to drive the highest level of performance through all levels of company vehicle operations that would maximize efficiency and profitability to the company

Communicate data analysis to department leadership and CFO/Accounting Department

Develops monthly measurable metrics on fleet performance

Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets

Develop and implement detailed financial analysis and reporting by using knowledge of analytical measurements, concepts, and effective methods of remedy to drive the highest level of performance through all levels of company vehicle operations that would maximize efficiency and profitability to the company.

Work with department managers to set standards, identify targets, and develop/maintain policies to ensure continuing and increasing cost efficiencies, operational effectiveness, and safety

Maintain monthly outgoing equipment list and incoming Equipment list

Ensures vehicle management systems are effectively utilized

Audits and administers payment of multiple monthly fleet invoices. Ensure compliance with internal purchasing procedures and policies

Identifies and executes cost saving and avoidance opportunities

Assists with the replacement and expansion of transportation assets

Assist in managing vehicle specification, selection, and procurement

Building and maintaining complex spreadsheets with the use of MS Excel

Add value to, and assist with, reaching company goals by taking ownership in your position, and assisting with other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

10 years managing/overseeing all aspects of vehicle and equipment maintenance

5 years participating in procurement of replacement vehicles and equipment

Strong understanding of vehicle utilization to enhance efficiency and profitability

Exceptional MS Excel skills
