Position: Director of Bus Maintenance
Job Location: Ridgewood, NY
Salary: $120K - $140K
Top View Sightseeing is a New York City-based company offering a variety of sightseeing bus tours. We own and manage the portfolio of brands, including Top View Sightseeing, Event Cruises NYC, Liberty Cruise, Bike Rental Central Park, and Attraction Pass. Top View Sightseeing serves over 500k customers annually, creating unforgettable experiences for New Yorkers and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Accomplishing department objectives by supervising staff and organizing work processes.
- Monitoring employee productivity
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Training or ensuring that workers are properly trained for their specific roles
- Helping the team understand performance targets and goals
- Assisting in resolving problems
- Lead, mentor, engage and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance.
- Assisting in the development of a professional maintenance program that focuses on the suitable conditions of all company-owned equipment
- Develops and maintains a Maintenance program and culture that focuses on the equipment being in excellent condition as it pertains to serviceability and equipment uptime
- Ensures that all maintenance records are always in compliance with all OSHA, EPA, and DOT criteria
- Ensuring that the shop facility is in safe working condition and cleanliness are top priorities.
- Implement and create a company inventory system where all equipment is detailed inside.
- Ensure that all mechanics are trained properly on all of the company equipment. Work in conjunction with the manufacturer representative to implement a company mechanic training program.
- Establish standards, procedures, and schedules.
- Manage payroll hours weekly, ensuring the utmost accuracy. Ensure all personnel adheres to schedule
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor staff, review performance, and administer disciplinary action.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance management dealing with fleets of over 100 units, including any of the following: buses, trucks, and trailers.
- Experience with inventory management, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Experience in successfully managing staff in multiple locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Technology savvy
Experience:
- Supervising experience: 5 year (Preferred)
- Maintenance: 5 year (Preferred)
