Job Purpose
This position is responsible for the scheduling the rental of fleet vehicles and coordinating maintenance and repairs of the vehicles. This position also facilitates repairs of E-Z-Go's (Golf Carts) or LSV's (Low Speed Vehicles) and repairs.
Position Description
- Manage all college vehicle requests and coordinate with all college locations on scheduling vehicles usage.
- Maintains records of all fleet vehicles.
- Manage the vehicle key check-out and return processes.
- Analyze automotive equipment malfunctions to determine required repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule vehicle repairs to ensure the vehicles are returned to service in a timely manner.
- Select vendors for mechanical repairs and parts.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship and communication with transportation and automotive vendors.
- Perform basic maintenance of headlights, brake lights, batteries, and basic repairs.
- Assist with accident management of college vehicles, LSV's (Low Speed Vehicles) and trailers; maintain record system.
- Assist with company vehicle insurance issues and coverage.
- Administer van operational training at all college locations.
- Administer LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) or E-Z-Go (Golf Cart) training.
- Manage vehicle titling, registrations, and renewals.
- Operate wireless applications to maintain current vehicle information and global location of assets.
- Maintain vehicle mechanical safety and recalls.
- Perform initial and routine driver's license checks for all users/drivers.
- Oversee vehicles cleanliness and sanitization by cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicles.
- Develop and maintain tracking systems for training, driver's license checks, vehicle maintenance, etc.
- Demonstrated experience operating motorized maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safe working practices.
- Reading and Writing skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
- Read simple diagrams.
- Work independently.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

- Detail oriented.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Minimum Qualifications and/or Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of fleet administration experience
- Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and a clear motor vehicle record.
- Associates Degree.
- Driver safety certification.
- Minimum two years in fleet safety management and compliance.
- Prior experience in the car rental industry.
While performing the duties of this job, the position requires significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday 6:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours, including during inclement weather.
