Unique Skills:
Mid-Level Avionics Flight Test Engineer
Gulfstream Aerospace is looking for an experienced Flight Test Engineer (5+ years) to support the certification of the G700, as well as the development of the newly announced G400 and G800 aircrafts. This role requires familiarity with a variety of avionics systems, a willingness to learn, and a disciplined approach to testing.
In this roll you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with Engineering to identify requirements and system functionality
- Developing test procedures based on requirements, Part 25 Airworthiness Standards, advisory circulars, and other guidance materials
- Generating development and certification flight test plans
- Developing configuration and instrumentation requirements
- Preparing test cards, and mission planning efforts for effective testing
- Conducting test efforts onboard aircraft as an FTE
- Reviewing test data to substantiate pass/fail criteria
- Writing test reports
Highly desired attributes:
- Experience with avionics and/or aircraft electrical systems
- Experience with Honeywell Epic for Gulfstream Symmetry or PlaneView
- Experience with MATLAB, or Python
- Test experience
- Experience writing test plans and/or test reports
- Experience with data analysis
Desired attributes:
- Experience with 14 CFR Part 23, or Part 25 regulations
- Candidate with Pilot experience
Experience with IADS or any real-time data monitoring systems

- Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product .
- Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
